Lot Description

A French two-plate Wimshurst machine,
the two leyden jars moulded with SOCIÉTÉ ELECTROGÉNIQUE PARIS, the two 45cm. diameter ebonite plates each with thirty-two sectors, mounted on two ebonised wooden supports with two discharge rods and two leyden jars in situ, on an ebonised wooden base -- 19½in. (49.5cm.) wide, with an original instruction sheet for the machine from the Société Electrogénique dated 1892 for the CARBURATEUR A ACTION DOUBLE
